The overall objective of this meeting is to facilitate interactions between clinicians, biologists and chemists involved in Alzheimer's disease research. We believe that a dialogue between the three different disciplines is critical for future therapeutics aimed at slowing down or preventing the progression of Alzheimer's disease.

The aim is to provide an update on the current basic mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease and the applicability of novel drug discovery approaches to treat it.

Therefore, the focus will be set around four major themes:

  • Biological Mechanisms
  • Chemical Approaches
  • Drug Discovery
  • Clinical Applications
