The purpose of this conference is to advance drug discovery, development and delivery for neurodegenerative disease by training the next generation of scientific leaders on the process of translating basic research into novel therapeutic interventions.   The goals of the conference are to: Bridge the knowledge gap in drug discovery and neurodegenerative disease. Bring together interdisciplinary scientists to stimulate new ways of combing skills and disciplines. Provide networking opportunities for these scientists to exchange ideas and resources. Publish the proceedings in a peer-reviewed scientific journal that will be widely disseminated by ADDF. Designed as a comprehensive course, this two-day conference will give participants fundamental knowledge and resources on creating new drugs and drug delivery technologies to treat and prevent neurodegenerative disease.  It will also address barriers and challenges associated with the following sub-topics: Target Identification & Validation Lead Discovery Lead Identification & Optimization Pre-Clinical Proof-of-Concept & Development Drug Delivery Technologies to the CNS Partnering & Other Models for Advancing Drug Discovery Business Development & Technology Transfer in Neurodegeneration. Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis will be included in the discussions.   top
